Dog and Cat Adoptions

Adopting an animal can be a rewarding experience.

All family members should come into the shelter before adopting an animal. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older and will need to fill out an application before final approval.

Date: Saturday, Feb. 17
Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No appointment needed!
Location: Vaughan Animal Shelter, 70 Tigi Crt., Unit 47, Vaughan, ON L4K 5E4

 

Reduced adoption fee of $150 per dog, which covers the cost of rabies vaccines, sterilization and microchip implantation. For Vaughan residents, it also includes the first annual pet licence. Debit and credit are accepted. Cash is not accepted. 

 

Adopters must:

  • be 18 years of age or older and show a government-issued photo ID.
  • bring all household members to meet the potential pet.
  • submit an adoption application. 

 

Successful adopters will be notified within the week.

 

The City of Vaughan is dedicated to finding safe and happy forever homes for all animals in the shelter.
